Privacy Policy
What we collect, who we share it with, and how to tell us to stop.
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Notice at collection
When you request information through this site or one of our advertisements, we collect the personal information described below and share it with licensed insurance agents, agencies, and marketing partners so they can contact you about final expense insurance. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, this sharing may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information. You have the right to opt out at any time. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, telephone number, email address, postal address or ZIP code, age or date of birth, state of residence, and general information about your interest in coverage.
- Call information: if you call a telephone number shown in one of our advertisements, that call may be routed through a call tracking service that records the number you called from, the advertisement that produced the call, the time and duration, and in some cases a recording of the call. Where a recording is made, you will be notified at the start of the call.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, the pages you view, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep the site working, to measure how our advertising performs, and to attribute visits to the advertisement that produced them.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed to children.
How we use it
- To respond to your request and connect you with licensed insurance partners.
- To operate, maintain, and improve this site and our educational content.
- To measure and improve the performance of our advertising.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Who we share it with
- Licensed insurance agents, agencies, and marketing partners, so they can contact you about coverage. This is the core of what we do, and it is why we ask for your information in the first place.
- Service providers that operate on our behalf, including website hosting, call tracking and routing, analytics, and email providers. They are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
- Legal recipients, where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Once a licensed partner receives your information, their own privacy policy governs what they do with it. We encourage you to ask them for it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold or shared about you.
- Access a copy of that information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to exercise them
Email privacy@burialbenefitcenter.com and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you within that period and may extend by up to another 45 days, as permitted by law.
To protect your information, we will ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request to know, correct, or delete — usually by confirming details we already hold. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
We honor Global Privacy Control and similar browser-based opt-out preference signals as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, and to meet legal, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements. Contact details submitted through a request are generally retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner or a longer period is legally required.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party sites
This site links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them any information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
